Briefly describe this site’s objectives and how it has met those objectives to date (up to 200 words):

McKinsey is expanding the scope of our core client services, which means open roles and career paths are more numerous and varied than ever. Our challenge was two-fold: demystify the consulting industry for job candidates, and demonstrate how job seekers from different backgrounds could find a meaningful and satisfying career at McKinsey. Our objective was to ensure a candidate-centric focus in every facet of McKinsey’s digital careers experience. By putting the candidate first and focusing our content on what matters most to them, we hoped to increase applications, improve bounce rates, drive more traffic, and increase the percent of repeat visits. Our redesigned, persistent job search gives users immediate access to the job search portal from anywhere in the Careers experience. With search functionality powered by Solr, the job listings themselves are filterable and ultra-scannable. We used immersive content focused on the experiences of actual McKinsey employees and we brought content concerning life at McKinsey to a position of greater prominence, showing the candidate what to expect from their career. Post-launch we saw massive improvements, including 56% lift in visitors staying on site, 76% increase in Visitors per month, 91% increase in return visitors and 85% increase in applications.
