Briefly describe this entry’s communications objectives and how it met those objectives (up to 200 words):

Building on The Power of One theme first introduced in the Kalamazoo Community Foundation’s 2015 Annual Report (April 2016), this video was a component of the Community Foundation's year-end giving campaign for gifts to our unrestricted funds. The idea: On its own, one gift can seem powerless. But when one is added to another, there is power in one. The year-end giving campaign launched in mid-November with a direct mail piece and also included a series of emails, social media posts, print ads and billboards. The 2 minute 33 second video features two donors and one grant recipient sharing stories about the impact of gifts given to the Community Foundation. Footage of landmarks within our service area of Kalamazoo County supports those vignettes by creating a visual connection to the community. It concludes with the call to action "Be part of our work." The video has been viewed on Vimeo 304 times and on Facebook 215 times. Social media reach/impressions currently total 1,936. Year-end giving statistics indicate 50 percent increase in unrestricted gifts from 2015, with the video being an important part of that overall achievement.
