How often is this web site updated? JHU.edu is updated with news and events automatically several times a day; new video loops every three weeks; new research features once a month; and other content changes and additions as needed.
Briefly describe this site's objectives and how it has met those objectives (up to 125 words):
The JHU.edu redesign—which was done completely in-house—transformed what had been a catch-all site serving multiple audiences (current and prospective students, faculty and staff, job seekers, alumni, etc.) to a targeted site for prospective students—generally 15- to 17-year-old information seekers. The site now offers those students the opportunity to explore the university’s offerings, while giving us the platform to better tell our story—that the university is first in research, dedicated to discovery for the larger good, diverse in our academic offerings, and global in reach. One well-used feature is our interactive program explorer, a database of more than 250 academic programs, searchable by degree (BA, MA, etc.), format (in-person or online), frequency (full or part-time), and field of study.
