Nomination Title: The Making of a Global Family Business

Tell the story about what this nominated organization has achieved since January 1 2015 (up to 650 words). Focus on specific accomplishments, and relate these accomplishments to past performance or industry norms.

When you think of family business, you tend to think small. Not Jeunesse. When the co-founding husband and wife team of Randy Ray (CEO) and Wendy Lewis (COO) emerged from retirement to create Jeunesse in 2009, the goal all along was to build a global billion-dollar brand. In just six short years, with the collaboration of co-founder and Chief Legal Officer, Rob Dawson and Wendy’s son and Chief Visionary Officer, Scott Lewis, that dream was realized when the company reached $1.1 billion annual sales in 2015.

Jeunesse launched on September 09, 2009 at 9:09 a.m. Why all the nines? The number nine represents longevity and reflected the founders’ desire to create a company with real staying power — a future legacy in the direct selling industry.

Armed with exclusive youth enhancement skin care and nutritional products made in the USA, one of the most rewarding financial rewards plans in the industry, and the technical knowhow to create a cutting-edge global platform to share products, training and support, Jeunesse was poised for success. This stable foundation, coupled with an early focus on international expansion, proved to be a winning combination.

Jeunesse has averaged triple-digit growth since its inception, and the company has ranked on the Inc. 500/5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in America for the past two years.

Although each year since its inception has been more successful than the last, 2015 was an exceptional year. With the technological infrastructure in place and an ambitious international growth strategy paying off, the company achieved many impressive accomplishments, including:

• Increasing annual global sales by more than $680 million (163%) to reach a milestone $1.1 billion
• Setting a direct selling industry record by reaching the billion-dollar annual sales mark in just six years
• Nearly doubling worldwide employment, from 367 to 715 employees (95% growth)
