Tell the story about this nominated product or service (up to 650 words). Describe its function, features, benefits, and performance to date:
Runzheimer was the first company to market with a mobile mileage capture application. Equo™, Runzheimer’s next generation app, simplifies mileage tracking for the mobile workforce, and it is the top-rated mileage capture app for enterprise business customers. When tested against other mileage capture apps, Equo had the highest accuracy rating, beating some other mileage capture applications by more than 25 percent.
The app effortlessly records business mileage and automates the task of creating an IRS-compliant mileage log, which is required of all businesses that reimburse employees for driving on the job. Through Equo, employees can capture, edit and submit business miles directly from a mobile device. There are even capabilities for automatic or manual trip capture. Equo leverages the latest technology and phone sensors to automatically detect when an employee is driving and builds a mileage log behind the scenes. Miles are displayed through a user-friendly, modern interface so business drivers can easily review, edit and submit their miles to employers for reimbursement. Equo streamlines the capture, manage, submission and reimbursement process for business drivers. Equo can automatically categorize a trip as either a business or personal expense, and it captures miles regardless of cellular data connectivity.
Runzheimer conducted usability studies with current customers to determine new features that went into Equo’s development. With a user-validated design and sophisticated underlying platform, Equo offers customers a personalized experience where engagement is based on preference. Since every company is different, Equo offers the flexibility to support a variety of business vehicle reimbursement programs, including cents-per-mile (CPM), fixed and variable rate (FAVR) and fleet.
On average, Equo captures 12-15MM miles per month. After all users are migrated to the most updated version of the app, this number will jump to more than 50MM miles captured per month.
