How often is this site updated? The Cisco Career's Website is updated daily.
Briefly describe this site’s objectives and how it has met those objectives to date (up to 200 words):
Our Cisco Talent Brand mission is to make personal connections with future talent. When it came time to redesign the Cisco Careers Website, we had several objectives to align with our mission.
First, we had to bridge the gap between external perceptions and employee realities. Candidates often view Cisco as an old, stodgy, tech dinosaur instead of a cool Silicon Valley startup. In reality, however, we operate like a startup, and have the strong culture to match.
How’d we do that? First, every single photo on the site is either of an actual employee or a photo taken by an employee. The new brand was Be You, With Us, #WeAreCisco, to address the fact that candidates could be themselves, see themselves on the Cisco team, and together, with the tribe, use technology to change the world. We took out Cisco-speak, and made it our “co-worker” voice.
Then, instead of designing for how WE wanted to present information, we designed for the way candidates visit the site, and (through Usability Testing) created navigation that aligned with how candidates discover relevant information and jobs. We also addressed mobile users, reduced clicks and seamlessly integrated with our applicant tracking system.
