Cisco’s Talent Brand Team’s objective is to make personal connections with future talent.
We use @WeAreCisco Instagram to showcasing employee-generated photos that tell the story about the Cisco Life and how we have fun while building cool technology. Employees are encouraged to post on THEIR Instagram channels using hashtag #WeAreCisco (reaching THEIR networks.) We feature those photos on the @WeAreCisco account and give “tag” credit to the employee, making the channel an authentic view into Cisco’s “Moments that Matter” through photography. We also compile themes of photos into Instagram Stories – which is uniquely Instagram content.
To encourage employees to post, we ENGAGE first. We also run contests, like our second #WeAreCisco #LoveWhereYouWork contest, to not only incentivize employee participation, but let them know it’s OKAY to use social to talk about working at Cisco.
We started 2016 with 2K followers and ended with 15K followers, ALL ORGANIC (no paid.) But it’s also QUALITY content. Industry engagement rates are 1.8% and falling for brands. Our engagement rate is consistently beating or exceeding (2-3X) industry standard engagement.
