The video is intended to communicate, in a funny and innovative way, the benefits of learning a language with Berlitz rather than trying to parrot phrases and words presented by a “box”. The intent was also to create a more youthful image of Berlitz, drive social media traffic and generate internal interest and excitement within Berlitz.
Results: 2,101 YouTube hits for the 1 minute spot and 15,397 YouTube hits for the 30 second spot. Internal excitement with emails from Berlitz employees, high engagement scores on social media, and sales. One person wrote to Berlitz “I do not want to be a parrot” and enrolled.
