As Marketo’s Senior Director of Marketing, Maria Pergolino helps lead strategy and execution for all aspects of Marketo's hyper-efficient demand center. Deemed by Telesmart Communication’s Josiane Feignon as “one of the most creative and spirited marketing bloggers,” Maria is recognized as a true B2B Marketing thought leader, specializing in inbound marketing, campaign optimization and demand generation strategies.

Maria has made significant contributions to the sales lead management and marketing automation industry since last July. First, she has contributed over dozens of blog posts to top 100 marketing blogs, including the MarketingProfs, as well as writing or contributing dozens of articles and white papers to drive awareness in the field of lead management. Her posts and papers have been read by tens of thousands and she has secured a vast twitter following of over 3,700 marketers.

Another notable accomplishment includes her co-authorship of 3 of the most successful social media, lead nurturing, and lead scoring books created specifically for B2B Marketers, entitled The Definitive Guides to B2B Marketing. The Definitive Guide to Lead Scoring and Nurturing were both written and published in the last year and have been downloaded by over 25,000 marketers to date. Since last July, Maria has also provided dozens of posts to Marketo’s popular blog, Modern B2B Marketing, which has over 16,000 subscribers and her posts hold the highest number of retweets.

Maria’s work has also been cited in multiple published articles and books, including the bestselling book “Content Rules” which specifically quotes Maria on her work in lead management. She has spoken on over 30 webinars and at 40 live events in the field of lead management, and also been a speaker for such organizations as American Marketing Association, MarketingProfs, Direct Marketing News, Online Marketing Connect, BtoB Magazine, Business Marketing Association and many more. Additional professional achievements in 2011 include: Winner of several BMA B2 Awards, SIIA CODiE Award Finalist, SLMA’s 20 Women to Watch and she was named one of 50 Most Influential People in Sales Lead Management.

In addition, Maria was the mastermind behind Marketo’s wildly successful ‘Revenue Rockstar Tour” that launched in early spring 2011. The educational event series attracted over 2000 marketers, averaging over 100 attendees per city, 75 percent of which were customers or prospects. The tour also managed to influence over $2.5 million in pipeline and over $700,000 in bookings, making it one of the company’s most successful marketing programs to date.

As a result of many of her efforts, Marketo has seen tremendous growth. For example, since July of last year, Marketo has more than doubled its customer count (to over 1200) and more than tripled its revenues and ending with an impressive year-over-year growth of 315%.
