Ashley Johnston is a firm believer that opportunities are earned, not owed, and approaches each day with a desire to deliver value, innovate, take risks and have a positive impact. Throughout the 12 years that she’s been with Experian, and in her current role as a global executive, she inspires and empowers others to adopt this mindset in both their professional and personal lives.

Ashley’s accomplishments in the past year are a great example of how that tenacity resonates with the Experian Marketing Services’ business and clients. In one short year, Ashley successfully led a global initiative to bring Experian Marketing Services’ portfolio, go-to-market strategy, culture and client base under a single global brand for the first time. As a key part of these initiatives, Ashley introduced progressive and differentiated programs that focused on driving lead generation, client engagement, awareness and sales enablement.

Ashley’s greatest accomplishments in the past year all centered on accelerating Experian Marketing Services’ go-to-market strategy globally:

• In the fall of 2013, Ashley created, launched and executed a global marketing campaign that focused on telling a single brand story as Experian Marketing Services, for the first time. The highly visible “Intelligent Interactions” campaign was executed in 33 countries effectively unifying the Experian Marketing Services suite of products and services. The campaign resulted in a successful migration of 5 legacy company brands, including CheetahMail, Hitwise, Simmons and QAS under the Experian Marketing Services brand saving multi-millions of marketing dollars while positioning the business for growth. Ashley and her team were recognized with the highly-coveted Experian Masters in Marketing Award for their work on this campaign.

• After a successful launch of “Marketing Forward,” a thought leadership event series for clients across the U.S. in 2012, Ashley took the tour global in 2013 and 2014. With 9 stops across the United States, Europe and Australia, the event reached international audiences and featured speakers from Forrester Research, ABC, Neiman Marcus and Comedy Central, among others.

• Ashley led the launch of the Experian Marketing Suite, a comprehensive, end-to-end marketing solution that enables brands to create and deliver authentic customer experiences. The Marketing Suite showcases the power of Experian Marketing Services’ portfolio which previously had been siloed into four business units, dozens of products, distinct client sets and cultures.

• Ashley led the development of the annual Client Summit, which in 2013 drew more than 1,000 top marketing executives from some of the world’s most respected brands For the past 8 years Ashley has conceptualized every detail of the highly coveted event, resulting in record praise by clients.The Experian Marketing Services Client Summit was also recognized this past June with a Stevie Award for Best Trade Show/Conference.

• Experian Marketing Services is a Stevie Award finalist in four categories in the 2014 American Business Awards, all for work that Ashley spearheaded including the Client Summit, The Digital Marketer Benchmark and Trend Report, a global internal communications campaign and the Cross-channel Marketing Platform.

Ashley Johnston brings close to 20 years of experience across a variety of marketing disciplines. Ashley is obsessed with finding ways to bring brands and consumers closer together and leverages her passion for people, storytelling and innovation to make this a reality. As the primary advocate and brand steward for Experian Marketing Services she takes great pride in maintaining a strong community across our client base, challenging status quo while keeping our customers at the center of everything we do. She lives in New York with her husband, 2 children and dog.
