Tell the story about your organization's sales meeting (up to 500 words). Include sections describing the genesis, development, production, and results to date of the event:

Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc.’s recent sales meeting, LEAD (Learn, Engage, Act and Deliver) 2012 was a resounding success on many levels. A record 709 attendees – the most people to ever attend a national Toshiba sales event – including sales professionals, end users, analysts and media descended on Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nov. 12-14, 2012 to gain insight on the latest trends within office technology products and services.

With access to 11 sessions, dealer and direct channel attendees received the most educational content ever offered at an annual Toshiba sales conference. Content was specifically designed to educate them on successfully selling key products and solutions emerging in the industry. On the second conference day, all attendees including dealers, direct channel representatives, end users, analysts and media had access to an additional 14 breakout sessions covering in-depth topics and business solutions related to specific vertical markets such as healthcare, education, retail and financial services.

Toshiba representatives and industry experts delivered compelling presentations on document and business solutions, print reduction, mobile printing and digital signage. The highlight for end users was a session dedicated to current Toshiba customer, SunTrust Bank with an executive there discussing the substantial savings the bank received after implementing Toshiba products and services.

LEAD 2012 was also an opportunity for Toshiba to unveil its breadth of products and solutions at a product fair. Attendees were introduced to Toshiba’s soon-to-be-released multifunction printer - the e-STUDIO5055c, the latest generation of its award-winning fleet management tool – Encompass, the highly anticipated eco MFP, digital signage solutions as well as an interactive communications table.

Another highlight of the event was the appearance of keynote speaker, Billy Beane, the subject of the best-selling book and major motion picture, “Moneyball.” The Oakland Athletics’ General Manager – widely considered one of the most progressive and talented executives in Major League Baseball – shared his innovative and winning style of management and leadership in an engaging and informative manner. By striking parallels between baseball and business, Beane provided pointers on identifying undervalued assets to create and sustain a competitive advantage.

To further inspire many LEAD 2012 attendees, Toshiba America Business Solutions’ President and CEO, Mark Mathews spoke of the company’s year-over-year success while mentioning revenue and profitably improvements from 2011 with particular sales increases in managed print services and thermal barcode printers.

Aside from the unbridled success from an attendee engagement standpoint, Toshiba secured nearly 120 sales leads - a 40 percent increase from last year’s event. Additionally, Toshiba was able to deliver a flawless event while spending less than half of what it did for its 2011 sales event. The event’s tagline, Print smarter; Communicate smarter; Work smarter; is more than simply a marketing slogan, it is the definitive educational experience LEAD 2012 attendees gained as they left Las Vegas.
