Nomination Title: Royal Caribbean International® Sales and Marketing Services Team

Tell the story about what this nominated team achieved since the beginning of July last year (up to 500 words). Focus on specific accomplishments, and relate these accomplishments to past performance or industry norms. Be sure to mention obstacles overcome, innovations or discoveries made, and outcomes:

This department is so creative, so innovative and so original that they are
known internally as “The Studio.” This team serves as Royal Caribbean
International’s® inside advertising agency and production company, constantly
taking on more responsibilities and wowing us with new skills and talents we
never knew they possessed.

In 2009, the Sales and Marketing Services team not only absorbed and
effectively utilized our new “Nation of Why Not” campaign, they were paramount
in bringing it to life for all our internal and external sales materials. They
also began creating many of our Sales videos and presentations, and were the
driving force behind this year’s online radio show – Why Not Talk Cruise with
Ken Muskat, VP of Sales. The show was a cruise industry first and attracted
more than 25,000 weekly listeners.

The department is overseen by Angela Stephen, Director and Lorraine Keogh-
Davis, Manager. The brochures, flyers and other collateral this department
creates for our sales force and for our partner Travel Agents are visually
compelling thanks to Graphic Designers: Ely Tomines, Justin Panzarella, Debbie
Gichlik and Carlos Garayburu. Our HTML emails and banner ads are brought to
life by Designer, Eric Rizzo. All our projects are effectively managed by
Communication Specialists/Account Executives, Daiana Devitta, Rachel Inman and
Raul Rovira. And we added a new position to the team this year,
Copywriter/Proofreader, Adrienne Denaro.

They were recognized this past November at Royal Caribbean’s National Sales
Meeting onboard the new Oasis of the SeasSM where they were named “Team of the
Year” for the second year running, and we can’t wait to see what they have in
store for 2010
