Financial Performance • In 2006 EPAM's organic growth made up 62,4%, the overall growth (including the revenue from the acquisition of VDI, one of the Top 5 Russian Software Outsourcing vendors) was up 99,2% vs. EPAM's 2005 revenue; • In 2006 EBITDA exceeded 20%, which is in line with the rate of leading Indian ITO companies; Staff Expansion • EPAM headcount crossed the 2500 mark; • In 2006 EPAM expanded its workforce organically more than 52%; • The combined workforce of EPAM and VDI was up 78%;
Obstacles Overcome
• After the acquisition of VDI EPAM faced a number of issues on how to integrate VDI’s infrastructure into its own and at the same time how to mitigate the security risks, which were solved successfully. • EPAM’s rapid organic and non-organic growth could have led to quality fall- off, as the new employees needed to be trained, adapted to the working environment, etc. However EPAM endeavored to maintain the same excellent quality of the services, and succeeded. This is proved by a number of customer satisfaction testimonials received in 2006 as well by the fact that several of our Fortune 500 clients who also outsource to Indian companies, doubled EPAM teams at the expense of their Indian providers. Industry Recognition • For the second consecutive year EPAM reaffirmed its status of the No.1 IT Outsourcing company with software development centers in Central and Eastern Europe on the "Global Services 100" rating of the world's leading ITO, BPO and customer care service providers; • EPAM achieved the highest rank among software engineering outsourcing service providers with delivery centers in Central and Eastern Europe (including Russia, Hungary, Belarus, and Ukraine) on the list of the world's "Top 50 Best Managed Outsourcing Vendors" and was named No.1 of "Top 10 ITO Offshore: Eastern/Central Europe" and No.3 of the global "Top 10 ITO: Specialty Application Development" within the Top 50 Best Managed Outsourcing Vendors study; • EPAM was selected to "The Global Outsourcing 100" by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP); • For the third consecutive year EPAM improved its position on the Software 500 listing of the world's foremost software and services companies; • For the fifth consecutive year EPAM was listed by Deloitte on "Technology Fast 500 for North America" for its year-on-year impressive growth rate; • EPAM became the only software development company from Central and Eastern
Europe named a finalist of NOA's "IT Outsourcing Service Provider of the Year" award category competing with LogicaCMG and Wipro Technologies, with the latter winning the award; • EPAM CEO Arkadiy Dobkin was named by Consulting Magazine one of "The Top 25 Consultants of the Year 2006".
