Tahsin Yilmaz studied Electric and Electronic Engineering at Middle East Technical University, receiving his B.S. degree in 1989. He started his professional career at Türk Telekom (PTT) and worked for nearly 5,5 years for the company as an engineer. Later, Yilmaz joined Turkcell, Telsim (Vodafone), Aycell (Avea) and Nokia Siemens Networks successively. Yilmaz has been holding the office of General Manager at TTNET since 2008. Naming TTNET as the largest communications and entertainment company in Turkey, he has focused on convergence, value-added services, telephone, communication and fun on four screens offering data and video streaming services at the same time.
