Redbooth is used by companies across the globe including Airbnb, Al Jazeera, Apple, AT&T, Avis, BBC, Canal+, Cisco, Discount Tire, Deutsche Telekom, Duke University, Ebay, Harvard University, Intuit, Novartis, Spotify, Subaru, ReMax and Volkswagen Audi. The Platform At-a-Glance
After setting up their organization with projects to group people and activities in ways that suit their business needs, customers typically use the provided free storage to house important Files, then use the Notes functionality to keep track of vital information, and break down Projects in progress into actionable Tasks, and engage team members in conversation on relevant topics through the conversations functionality. The platform’s flexibility, however, allows customers to use it to fulfill a multitude of business needs in addition to project task management. For example, some people use the Notes section to organize meeting minutes, while others use it as an employee manual for systemizing operations. One-click access to group chat or HD video meetings further enhances employee communication, and helps build team relationships across geographic distances, as we’ve seen first-hand in our own multi-location organization.
Product Innovation and Expansion
Since January of 2013, Redbooth has worked hard to differentiate its platform as a comprehensive enterprise communication solution, with the consumer-friendly usability employees expect. To support this aim, Redbooth was the first online collaboration platform to offer HD video meetings, which currently provide the ability to include up to 100 participants. In recognition of the strides the team made, in October 2013 Redbooth received $5m Series A funding. The funding was put to immediate use in the launch of the Gmail and Outlook plugins, and the company rebrand and new platform launch as Redbooth in January 2014.
Keeping up the momentum, Redbooth launched their first public API in May 2014. Customers and partners can now more easily build apps for faster collaboration, integrate for a more connected environment leveraging internal workflows, and easily extract data to make smarter decisions. A self-service portal for developers was launched in parallel, which provides a set of comprehensive, easy-to-use resources for anyone looking to extend Redbooth in as little as five minutes. During the development of the API, customers with early access have used the capability to integrate legacy SharePoint environments, transform data entered in website forms to Redbooth tasks, and build iOS apps that display critical project status information.
Most importantly, the strides the platform has made over the past 18 months to become an embedded part of our customers workflows have resulted in an unsolicited outpouring of pubic support, with recent twitter comments including:
“best collab tool out there”
“I really like @RedboothHQ. Almost like a perfect marriage between Jyra and Confluence.”
“I take my hat off to @RedboothHQ for their awesomeness. They're the service I've been looking for!”
