The Annual Report is IFC’s main marketing vehicle, promoting and explaining the distinctive benefits of the organization’s work to a wide audience. It is designed to put a human face on the organization’s efforts to help the private sector create opportunity and improve lives. To make the report more user-friendly as a reference tool on IFC’s activities, we introduced a stepped design structure that made it easy to navigate. Our overall approach—combining innovative design with high-impact stories and photography—allowed us to attract a larger audience.
About 30,000 copies of the Annual Report were distributed to representatives of our 182 member countries, donors, think tanks, and other influential stakeholders. Web downloads increased by more than 20 percent.
