Briefly describe this entry's communications objectives and how it met those objectives (up to 125 words):
The Legend of the Forest video by the Forest Seawall Association tells a much needed story of hope. As a young student, Dr. Akira Miyawaki, now a world renowned ecologist, visited Hiroshima shortly after the bomb and was deeply moved to see new shoots growing from a tabunoki (Japanese bay leaf) tree where no one expected anything would grow for a hundred years. The tabunoki is central to Dr. Miyawaki's plan to plant a forest seawall, a self-sustaining diverse ecosystem that will stretch along the coast. Children play a large role as they plant tabunoki seedlings with their own two hands, creating a long-lasting forest that will protect them and their loved ones for years to come, building hope tree by tree.
