Market trends toward globalization and outsourcing have changed the game, as companies struggle with how to manage business across today’s complex trading networks. FY2014 was a stellar year for E2open in terms of cloud-based technology subscription growth (with the highest year-over-year growth rate in subscription revenue in 12 quarters), performance in the market, product development and the July 31, 2013 acquisition of icon-scm, a market leader in supply chain planning and collaboration. By combining icon-scm’s integrated planning and analytics capabilities with the E2open Business Network, E2open has expanded its market opportunity and solution portfolio, accelerated its product roadmap, and extended its position as the leader in the collaborative planning and execution space. In February 2014, as part of a continued evolution from the icon-scm acquisition, E2open released a new version of its E2 Planning & Response product, which includes “what-if” scenario and simulation capabilities, network planning visualization and analytics, and SAP-certified ERP adapters. These enhanced planning capabilities are now available via the cloud, furthering the facilitation of collaborative planning and execution across the extended trading network.

With today’s complex, global supply chains, it can be extremely taxing for businesses to pinpoint the location of the real constraints in their current production and delivery plans. Traditional planning systems lack timely, comprehensive data to create trustworthy plans that consider demand priorities and supply constraints. The missing piece is often execution, as they also lack fast problem resolution, scenario and decision support capabilities to manage trade-offs. E2 Planning & Response was built to overcome these challenges.

Stephan Hofmann has served as E2open’s Vice President of Products since December 2013, where he is responsible for the company’s product vision, roadmap and delivery. Stephan joined E2open in August 2013 as Vice President of Product Management following the icon-scm acquisition. He has worked closely with some of the most profitable supply chains in the world, helping them to develop programs that increase the speed of information sharing, enhance operational and strategic alignment, and plan execution across all levels of the supply chain.

Named one of the 2014 “Pros to Know” by Supply & Demand Chain Executive, Stephan has over 12 years of supply chain management expertise designing, positioning, building and selling innovative enterprise solutions for a variety of industries.
