uTest has achieved remarkable growth: - 56 employees in 2011 to 110+ employees in 2012 - a little more than 100% growth. In that time, uTest’s global community of professional software testers has also grown - from 50,000 testers in 180 countries to now 100,000+ testers in 200 countries and territories. uTest is capitalizing on a realization by most companies – they know how imperative it is to produce mobile and web apps that work as intended in the hands of users. uTest is changing the way apps are developed and appreciated by end users. From leveraging both crowdsourced professional software/app testing under real-world conditions, to the use of developer tools that enhance mobile app quality, to analyzing explicit and implicit data that brings clarity to user signals, uTest provides the services and tools that help companies ensure their apps perform as intended for users.

Providing in-the-wild testing services, uTest spans the entire software and app development lifecycle – including functional, security, load, localization and usability testing. The company’s global community of professional testers puts web, mobile and desktop applications through their paces by testing on real devices under real-world conditions. Thousands of companies – including Google, USA Today, Amazon, Virgin, Sony, Box and Trulia – now rely on uTest as a critical component of their testing processes for fast, reliable and effective testing results.

In 2012, uTest acquired best-in-class mobile development tool, Apphance, a complex but easy-to-use web platform for mobile developers to view crashes, bugs and user feedback. In 2013, uTest formally announced uTest Labs, its forward-looking innovation arm, which spun out a major new product in January – Applause. Applause is the first app analytics product to crawl 90M+ app store reviews and use a proprietary algorithm to explicitly score 1.5M+ mobile apps across 10 app quality attributes. The new product has been singled out by Gartner, Forrester and IDC for successfully filling a blind spot in the app economy landscape.

uTest simplifies app challenges for companies and a number of different roles across the company – IT departments, developers, CEOs, media publishers and digital marketers alike – they all have a voice in an apps lifecycle, from conception, to development, all leading up to making sure that the apps’ launch is seamless and successful.

Since 2008, uTest has raised $37MM in funding, achieved an astounding growth rate of 8,284% and expanded from 11 to more than 110 employees. The company recently announced that the mobile app testing portion of its business increased 6X over the last 18 months. Other honors bestowed upon uTest include:
