Considering multifunction product dealers were seeing a decline in revenue due to decreasing pages printed, Toshiba needed to diversify its business and focus more on digital signage (DS) and network document solutions (NDS). Toshiba’s website needed to be revamped to promote these offerings to differentiate itself among its competition as other manufacturers including Xerox, Canon and Konica Minolta use stock photography on their websites. To tell its story in a new and compelling fashion, Toshiba hired a respected illustrator to create original artwork. Since the web redesign, traffic has increased by five percent and time spent on the site by 10 percent. In 2014, Toshiba recorded its best sales year ever with its DS and NDS businesses producing a cumulative 166 percent year-over-year increase.
