Nomination Title: Temperature@lert Sensor Cloud

Tell the story about this nominated product or service (up to 525 words). Describe its function, features, benefits, and performance to date:

Historically, our Temperature@lert Cellular Editions have found their way into the agricultural and industrial markets, especially with the development of our solar powered Cellular Editions. Temperature@lert’s Cellular Editions have previously won several awards, including a Stevie Gold Award for our Solar Cellular Edition. However, it is Temperature@lert’s Sensor Cloud that serves as the heart of all Cellular Editions with over thousands of devices deployed and running the service. Sensor Cloud has an easy-to-use interface and is capable of hosting all the data collected for years safely. Regardless if the readings are for temperature, wind speed, rainfall, leaf wetness, or any other sensor; Sensor Cloud hosts these readings is continently available via web interface and iPhone and Android Apps.

Temperature@lert’s Sensor Cloud allows our users to be able to monitor environmental conditions remotely, thus saving them time, cost, and crops. Not to mention all Temperature@lert Cellular Editions set up in a minute, making it extremely easy for setup. Temperature@lert’s mission is to create a cost- effective system that will allow any user to be able to monitor their goods at any moment so that they can have some peace of mind.

This is especially important for our agricultural users since their devices are placed outdoors in fields, which makes it very difficult to monitor in person 24/7. Systems similar to ours cost upwards of $10,000 to have the same capabilities offered by Temperature@lert’s Sensor Cloud and Cellular Editions. High costs as such make it virtually impossible for small farmers and agriculturalists to afford, while their difficult interfaces make their software hard to use; this is where Temperature@lert steps in. Temperature@lert believes in not only providing the perfect monitoring solution but making it easy to use. By making our interface simple to use while being able to provide complex data allows our agricultural users to be able to conserve water, fuel, and costs.

Nearly all farmers over-water and 90% of water use in the US is for irrigation.  Proper watering reduces 70% of water usage without affecting crop yield. Using less water means less fuel is used to pump the water onto the field. The reduction of runoff ultimately improves water quality. Temperature@lert Sensor Cloud with their Solar Cellular Device can save enough water in a year for up to 9000 people (Assumes a 200 acre farm, 6.21 gal water/cu ft on farm per year, 50% water reduction, and 50gal/day of water use per person).

The most critical aspect of any company's daily activities revolve around temperature and other environmental factors, regardless if they are agriculturally based or not. Farmers with smaller budgets and fewer technical resources need a way to ensure that their crops are not compromised.

Temperature@lert’s Sensor Cloud allows users to simply login and see current conditions, manage alerts (phone, text, e-mail), and run reports. Our service was developed to better serve all our users but it particularly benefits our agricultural vertical because they have a vast amount of critical environmental conditions to monitor for. This heart is what makes our Temperature@lert Cellular Editions tick and we’re very excited about the opportunity to help save our country’s valuable fresh water resources.
