Nomination Title: Essence of PacifiCare

1. List the dates on which this nominated production was produced and first distributed in the U.S.:

   The "Essence of PacifiCare" video first aired in March 2002 to all Vice Presidents and above attending the annual PacifiCare Vice Presidents conference in Long Beach, CA. The video has since been used at all major employee functions and in the lobbies of PacifiCare facilities, including the lobby of our Office of the President, to rally and motivate the employee population. The Office of the President, and many other departments within PacifiCare, use the video to begin department meetings on a weekly, semi-weekly or monthly basis. The video is also being shown to the broker community to express PacifiCare's brand position and attributes that differentiate us from our competitors.

2. Briefly describe this nominated production's communications objectives and how it met those objectives (up to 100 words):

   The video was created as the first articulation of PacifiCare's new brand position as a consumer health and services company making people's lives better. It was created to communicate the type of company we are and what we stand for internally as well as externally in the marketplace. The Essence of PacifiCare was created as a motivational and inspirational piece to unite our 7,500 employees in the United States, Guam and Ireland around our brand, strategy and culture.
