When you call a customer service hotline, you wouldn’t think you’d be talking to the company’s CEO. But when calling OnSIP Business VoIP, you likely are. Think of the show Undercover Boss— It’s like that all day, every day.  

We wish to nominate OnSIP CEO Mike Oeth for Customer Service Executive of the Year. Mike graduated from Harvard College in 1991 with a degree in Economics and has since worked for technology companies before founding OnSIP in 2004.  

Now having helped over 20,000 customers and won the 2012 Company of the Year - Business Services (Silver) Stevie award, OnSIP is a leading provider of cloud-based phone systems to small and medium- sized businesses. Mike Oeth believes a vital piece to OnSIP’s success is our customers’ success. Accordingly, Mike recently renamed the support team the Customer Success Team and continues to take customers support calls daily.

Mike insists on keeping happy employees, a relaxed work environment, and an office wherein family is welcome. (We’ve attached a picture of the toy race track for children brought to the office.) He also maintains a free flow of Dunkin Donuts coffee and zero call or ticket quotas.  

Fostering happy employees and growing a successful customer base, Mike Oeth would be an excellent choice for Executive of the Year - Telecommunications.

Mike Oeth is the CEO of OnSIP Business VoIP, winner of Company of the Year— Business Services 2012 (Silver) and TMC's Communications Solutions Product of the Year 2011. Having helped over 20,000 customers, OnSIP is now a leading provider of business VoIP to small and medium-sized businesses. Mike graduated from Harvard College in 1991 with a degree in Economics and has since worked for technology companies, including cable companies, fiber optic providers, Internet service providers, and application service providers. Outside of the office, Mike is an active community member and father, successfully balancing his roles as board member of the local YMCA, member of the father-daughter Y- group Adventure Princesses, and basketball coach for his three daughters’ basketball teams.

Mr. Alexander has a Bachelor of Science in Management from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Emory University.
