Growth

Motive has experienced substantial growth over the years by staying focused on our product offering of quality performance advertising and finding niche markets that are growing, and a good fit for our product.

Opportunity

In 2012, Motive made a decision to solidify its business as a performance-advertising network that represents two main markets, Online Games and Mobile Apps.  These are two of the fastest growing advertising markets and the nature of these businesses aligns perfectly for our product. Motive’s method of advertising focuses on results and not just eyeballs.  Simply put, advertisers pay Motive for the consumer engaging in the product and not just seeing it. In the case of Online Games and Mobile Apps this is a dream match. Our customers have a downloadable game or App that they need players for. They can pay Motive only when a download or install occurs; removing all advertising risks.

Success

In venturing into the Online Game and Mobile market it was evident that this was a new non-saturated market.  We realized at this point that by focusing on quality and expanding into un-tapped markets we had positioned our business as the recognized leader in the space. However, we understood that in time other performance advertising businesses would likely see the opportunity and could commoditize the business.  We needed to not only deliver downloads we needed to own the traffic sources.

New Products

In 2012 we decided to secure our future and decrease the chances that our business would be commoditized , we needed to own some of the traffic. We achieved this by building several products that controlled and owned the traffic.

PPC

We launched our PPC Search division that focused on buying Game and App related keywords in all major search engines and driving this traffic directly to the products.

Gpin.com

We launched a social bookmarking site tailored specifically to the gamer market. This site allows consumer as well as marketers and product owner to share game related info in a “pinterest” type format. We are expanding this product with a Mobile App for 2013.

MMOAtttack.com

We launched MMOAttack.com a site dedicated to the free-to-play Online Game market. This site has become one of the highest traffic sites for this niche game market.  We attend all major game related conferences and provide news and product reviews for all major releases.  The focus of this site is video content with a growing YouTube channel.

ThumbHero.com

Still in beta thumbhero is a mobile-based site that determines what type of devices a user is one and displays the latest game or apps for that device.

Summary

Motive moved into growing niche markets with a focus on quality performance advertising and in doing so we realized we could also create the traffic that our customers are buying.  We succeeded in doing this by becoming a online and mobile portal through a number or new products. We created this new revenue stream while maintaining our proven model as a leading advertising network.
