For visually impaired users, the ubiquity of touchscreens has enabled incredible applications; the iPhone has been called “the biggest development since braille.” Unfortunately, touchscreens have also made typing harder. This prevents the 40 million visually impaired people across the world from using such devices to their full potential for content creation and communication.

Fleksy creates accessibility for smartphone users, enabling the visually impaired to type up to four times faster. The frustration of typing on touchscreens and portable devices is a universal issue, and Fleksy’s software provides a solution for both Android and iOS users. Phone manufacturers spend billions trying to solve the text input problem on mobile, and Fleksy solved the problem in 2011, its first year of business.
