Our Apple Watch™ App was available with our version 2.6 update of the Fidelity Mobile® iPhone® App on April 10, 2015. However, the official launch date was April 24, 2015, when Apple's Watch Apps were made available to the general public.

Our objective was to be the first, if not one of the first financial services firms to offer an App for Apple Watch. We kicked off with an initial Press Release 3/6/15 and then again on 4/24/15. We are giving investors a new edge in keeping tabs on their investments. With a twist of the wrist, the first-of-its-kind mobile financial app allows investors to keep their finger on the pulse of the markets, including access to real-time quotes and market data, instant notifications for all Fidelity orders and price triggers and seamless integration with an iPhone for easy handoff to view advanced charts, detailed quote information and more.

Our Apple Watch App was started in late 2014 by a small, agile team comprised of business, design and technology representatives. With no precedence in the marketplace -- competitively or in other industries, we needed to get creative. The team had a 3D printer prototype made so the designs would be created to fit the smallest form factor yet -- and to be able to interact with the device by holding and wearing it to simulate a real-life user experience. Our marketing and internal agency partners created the video (included in this submission) and content/graphics on Fidelity.com.
