In May 2012, Epicor announced the release of the newest version of its Epicor ERP solution. Currently Epicor ERP contains more than 300 new features and enhancements designed to further improve reliability, performance and ease of use. The new release, available in more than 60 countries, delivers functional improvements and enhancements across every suite within the solution, including the Epicor ICE Business Architecture. This release builds upon the award-winning solution which was first introduced in 2008, and has been selected by more than 3,000 customers in 63 countries worldwide. Built on the Epicor True SOA™ architecture, the software is designed to offer extensive flexibility, usability, and agility in support of application-to-application integration and business-to-business collaboration, key to enabling the delivery of information throughout the enterprise.

The latest release of Epicor ERP also includes new Replenishment Workbench functionality designed to meet the needs of the supply chain and distribution processes relative to the stock-to-stock supply between warehouses or bins in a fully directed, managed, and transactional environment. The Epicor ERP deployment has also been simplified and new tools introduced to ensure customer operations are tuned to enjoy the same levels of performance experienced in development labs.

John Hiraoka, executive vice president and chief marketing officer, joined Epicor in 1998 and brings over 25 years of enterprise applications design, development, sales, marketing, and operations experience to the company. In his current position as chief marketing officer and executive vice president, business development, he is responsible for the company’s overall corporate, product and marketing strategy, as well as corporate development, strategic partnerships, alliances, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Epicor, Hiraoka held a variety of senior management positions with DataWorks Corporation, including vice president of advanced product development and international operations. Hiraoka attended the University of Washington, majoring in mathematics and computer science.
