Coveo for Salesforce is an application embedded within the Salesforce User Interface that recommends the right insight to the end user, regardless of where the data resides—in social media, the cloud, or enterprise systems—by instantly assembling and presenting the most relevant information based on the case or account in which the user is working, helping to win deals and solve cases faster.

For the first time, the power of a highly advanced, enterprise unified indexing engine is placed in the hands of end users in the cloud. With just a couple of clicks, end users and Salesforce administrators can start gaining the most relevant insight from diverse systems including Microsoft SharePoint, Twitter, Gmail, Websites, Microsoft Exchange, Dropbox, Lithium and more, directly within Salesforce. Additionally, Coveo for Salesforce brings together information from across the Salesforce infrastructure, including Service Cloud and Sales Cloud, and Salesforce Knowledge.

Provide a brief (up to 125 words) biography about the leader(s) of the team that developed this nominated product or service:

Laurent Simoneau is President and CTO of Coveo, and is considered one of industry’s top enterprise search experts. Prior to Coveo, Mr. Simoneau was CTO of Copernic, an early leader in desktop search, where he oversaw the company’s product strategy and directed the research and development of core technologies. Mr. Simoneau also served as Chief Operating Officer at Copernic during which he successfully orchestrated the spin-off of the company’s enterprise search division in 2004 into what is now Coveo. Mr. Simoneau is a graduate of Université du Quebec, where he holds an MBA degree.
