The purpose of redesigning Cisco’s corporate newsroom, “The Network” was to create a site that expands beyond traditional company content and takes on the characteristics more of a media company. The goal is to create a corporate newsroom of the “future” by articulating and allowing users to easily share content not only on Cisco’s business, products and technologies, but also stories on the broader business and technology landscape.

Achievements include commissioning seasoned journalists to write about and provide unbiased perspectives on technology and business trends that have been shared broadly across the technology news industry. Also, adding in social media functionality across the site has made the content more shareable.
