Nomination Title: Richard Law, President/CEO and Founder

   1. Tell the story about what this nominee achieved in the past year (up to 500 words). Focus on specific accomplishments, and relate these accomplishments to past performance or industry norms. Be sure to mention obstacles overcome, innovations or discoveries made, and outcomes:

2005 marked a year of tremendous growth for Allyis, which was due in large part to Richard Law’s strategic direction and overall vision for the company.  Richard has always strived for a company where its employees’ conduct and their willingness to go the extra mile becomes the company’s sole marketing vehicle. In 2005, Allyis did not spend a penny on outside marketing, yet grew over 100% -- the company doubled its staff by hiring 71 employees and posted a 40% increase in gross revenue over 2004 ($10.6 million in 2005 compared to $7.3 million in 2004).

Richard’s actions and decisions set the tone for how Allyis values and respects its employees, clients and community. His sincere and ethical approach is inherent to Allyis’ culture and plays a major role in all decisions and policies that are made.

Richard guides Allyis on the principle that in order for Allyis to be successful, the number one priority is ensuring that not only its customers are happy, but Allyis’ employees are as well. He firmly believes that going the extra mile for employees will result in them going the extra mile for Allyis’ clients.

Many of the programs benefiting Allyis employees are the brainchild of Richard Law:

 Best-in-industry benefits – Allyis offers extensive health care coverage, 401(k) with generous employer matching, childcare reimbursement and assistance, six weeks of paid parental leave, paid training and education, and redeployment services.   Employee Relations Program (ERP) – Richard’s vision for a supportive culture is shown through Allyis’ ERP program, a program he envisioned and which launched in 2005.  A devoted ERP team’s sole job purpose is to be available for Allyis employees and work proactively to ensure they are well taken care of and feel comfortable with their job.  Allyis also recognizes employees’ significant life milestones (birthdays, marriages, new home purchases, etc.) through the program. The program is extensive by design, and is one vehicle Allyis uses to show employees how much they are truly valued.

This intentional focus on its employees and their well being has earned Allyis a reputation as a terrific employer. Allyis anonymously surveys its employees yearly on their satisfaction with the company, their jobs and benefits, and a number of other factors. Every year the aggregate satisfaction rate across all categories is better than 92%, which is reflected in Allyis’ extremely high retention rate of 95.5%.  Furthermore, 25% of Allyis’ new employees are generated from employee referrals.

Led by Richard’s vision, going the extra mile for its employees has enabled Allyis to provide business continuity for its clients, and to continue to grow organically and remain profitable for its eighth consecutive year.  More than 90% of Allyis’ contracts are extended or renewed, in many cases year after year even when the initial contract with the client was perhaps for a few months.

Richard’s vision for a company that truly respects and values its employees has played an important role in the success and reputation Allyis has earned year after year.
