SIXTH ANNUAL AMERICAN BUSINESS AWARDS
CROWN WINNERS OF AMERICA’S “BEST IN BUSINESS”

Winners of 2008 American Business Awards Announced;
Ceremony Shines a Spotlight on Green Business

New York, NY – June 13, 2008 – Painting the town green at last night’s gala ceremony in New York, The Sixth Annual American Business Awards crowned the winners of America’s “best in business” and honored a diverse cross-section of American business people and corporations for great performances in business.

In a nod to corporate America’s focus on environmental issues, many of the 2008 winners reflect a strong emphasis on “green,” including agricultural giant Monsanto (Most Innovative Company), the recycling program of the Philadelphia Eagles (Best Corporate Environmental Responsibility Program) and the smart building and energy company Energy Control, Inc. (Best Overall Company – Up to 100 Employees).

The American Business Awards are the only national, all-encompassing awards program honoring great performances in business.  The awards are conferred in categories from Best Executive and Best New Product to Best New Company and Best Blog.  For a complete list of the 2008 American Business Award honorees in all categories, visit: www.stevieawards.com/aba.

More than 600 business leaders attended the ceremony in New York last night. A portion of each ticket sold for the gala was contributed to the Alliance for Climate Protection, a nonprofit, nonpartisan effort founded by Nobel laureate and former Vice President Al Gore that seeks to halt global warming by educating people that the climate crisis is both urgent and solvable.  Learn more about The Alliance for Climate Protection at http://www.wecansolveit.org/.
